nouveau module hangs at reboot (with fix)

Running Proxmox VE 8.2.2, out of the box, freshly installed from ISO.

At reboot, the system hangs at nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Enabling HDD controller.
You can't see that unless you remove "quiet" from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub and run update-grub. Then your system just hangs at reboot.

Blacklist the nouveau module and the problem is gone.

The hardware seems to be: 01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107M [GeForce GTX 950M] (rev a2)

Cool. As a thought, it's probably a good idea to change the title of this thread to have the [SOLVED] mention in it, as the thread will show future people how something got fixed.

It is not solved, I just posted a workaround. It would be solved when I could shutdown the system without the nouveau module hanging.

I guess installing the nvidia drivers isn't an option?
