Notification only if some error

I'm desperately trying to set up notifications for PvE/PBS only when an error occurs (currently, I get a notification for every successful match). Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure where/how to set this up in the match rules.
Can anyone help?

'All rules match'
    -> 'Match severity: error, unknown'

This should do the trick if you want to match all errors (and forwarded mails to the root user where we don't know the priority)

but I get sync notification with Synchronization successful.

Are you talking about PBS sync job notifications or PVE storage replication notifications?

In case of PBS, make sure that under Datastore > 'your datastore' > Options you have selected 'Notification system' under 'Notification mode' (PBS 3) or 'Use global notification settings' under 'Notifications' (if you have PBS 4).
