I've been running Proxmox succesfully for a while now, surviving reboots and whatnot. However, currently it doesn't connect to my network anymore, although it does show the message that it's available at the giving url-port.

Searching through the forums I came along some suggestions about a 'corrupted' interfaces file. I've been digging to come with the problem but can't figure it out. Below a photo of
  • cat /etc/network/interfaces
  • cat /etc/hosts
  • ip a
Tested to be OK:
  • UTP Cable
  • Port on Router (Ubiquity UDM Base)

Hi,

given the output, enp2s0 is reported as having the flag NO-CARRIER. In other words, this means the physical interface is not properly connected to the other side (the Ubiquity router in your case, I guess)

Is the cable properly connected on both sides? Do the link LEDs light up?

Thanks a lot for your answer. I do not see any light on either end of the cable. I have been trying several cables and several ports on my router, so I am quite confident that it's not that part of the hardware. I am running on a Intel NUC NUC12WSHi50Z which only has 1 LAN port.

I might have a USB-A to LAN dongle lying around somewhere, so I'll give that a try at least somehow ... (not sure how yet :p)
EDIT: I'm gonna try an USB bootable OS first

Are there any other options to try before declaring the LAN port to be broken on my NUC?

As a last resort before sending it back I thought to reset the BIOS, and guess what... Blinking lights... I have absolutely no clue why this would have worked as I haven't touched the BIOS in months...
