Node will not shut down even after all VMs/Containers are powered down

I'm in the process of setting up NUT so I can get automatic shutdown when my UPS runs low, but I've run into a problem that I know I've had for a year but have been ignoring. When I try to shut down my single node system, even if all of the VMs/Containers are manually shut down, it won't actually power off unless I leave it sitting for 15-20 minutes. It hangs at this point on the output. The Synology shared folders are mounted via NFS and anything referencing "MasterMedia" is a bind mount of the NFS share to a specific local folder. These bind mounts are defined in /etc/fstab. I needed to do it this way for a specific workflow I have that requires bind mounts. Based on where it stalls, I suspect it has something to do with some type of mount. I find it odd that eventually the node will shut down though. Maybe something to do with a timeout?

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can look at?
