Dear folks,
I'm trying to get my VMs working with proxmox@debian12.
Code:
username@oms-211:~$ ip addr
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host noprefixroute
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: eno1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 00:fd:45:fc:0e:e8 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    altname enp3s0f0

Let's cat resolv.conf:
Code:
username@oms-211:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
domain fritz.box
search fritz.box
nameserver 192.168.2.254

I followed this proxmox-link. Does anyone know, what's wrong with my settings? It's a simple home-network:
Gateway/DNS: 192.168.2.254
OMS-211: eno1: 192.168.2.211; eno2: no-ip, but bound to vmbr0

I can ping vmbr0 from outside, but not from VM (192.168.2.148)

thanks in advance
regards

I was about to ask a similar Q.

I don't know if you are the same - but I have a MoBo (Suermicro) with 2x native 10G ethernet cards and I have tried twice now to install it without success. It apparently installs OK as it give the correct IP address directing to the web interface on the console after booting up - but there is no network connectivity.

The server is a backup server I have been using with VMware ESXi which I want to move to moxprox and I have started with all new disks - keeping the old installations disks as a fallback if needed. I have just slotted those back into the server and the network is working perfectly. Put the moxprox install back and it get lost again. I am wondering if there are any missing drivers?

I also have two old servers I pulled out to test installation before trying on this target which I want to be my main home lab, and they went fine ... clustering properly and everything I try just works (both intel CPUs and I presume NICs, but not sure on the latter).

In my case the questionable onboard NIC is a 10GbE Broadcom 57416 chipset according to the manual.

Anyone know if this is supported out of teh box or if I need to find some drivers to install, or is it likely to be some other issue?

I don't mean to hijack your thread, so if this is an entirely different issue to yours I will start a new thread, but I was wondering if it might be similar/the same.

edit - reading your Q more carefully, I think this is a different issue so I will start a new thread.
