No network after new install to MoBo with onboard NIC - 10GbE Broadcom 57416

I have a MoBo (Suermicro) with 2x native 10G ethernet cards and I have tried twice now to install it without success. It apparently installs OK as it give the correct IP address directing to the web interface on the console after booting up - but there is no network connectivity.

The server is a backup server I have been using with VMware ESXi which I want to move to moxprox and I have started with all new disks - keeping the old installations disks as a fallback if needed. I have just slotted those back into the server and the network is working perfectly. Put the moxprox install back and the network gets lost again. I am wondering if there are any missing drivers?

I also have two old servers I pulled out to test installation before trying on this target which I want to be my main home lab, and they installed fine ... clustering properly and everything else I try just works (both intel CPUs and I presume NICs, but not sure on the latter).

In my case the questionable onboard NIC is a 10GbE Broadcom 57416 chipset according to the manual.

Anyone know if this is supported out of the box or if I need to find some drivers to install, or is it likely to be some other issue?

TIA

This is embarrasing ... problem solved, I pointed the management interface at what I think is the IPMI port looking at the config file.

Lesson: don't install unfamiliar software when tired and under pressure ...
