NFS storage and default folders created

I'm trying to setup some NFS shares on my Proxmox host. I notice that whenever I setup a new share, Proxmox adds several standard folders (e.g. dump, templates, images).

Is there a way to disable this behavior on a per share basis? Even when I delete these folders they are recreated by Proxmox right after.

So I'm notice a side issue with NFS mapping in Proxmox. I have a Synology NAS with several folders of data (e.g. music, movies, etc).

If I have data currently loaded in the root of each share, and then I map the folder with NFS to the Proxmox host, any containers also mapped to those NFS shares do not see any data in the root of each share.

What is the best methodology to allow data in NFS shares to be shared across containers? My current strategy seems to be isolating the data from each container.

Mount at the host, and use a mount point to allow access for containers.

Create a new NFS share on your NAS one level deeper than the current one and mount that. Instead of mounting host:/share do host:/share/mount/ instead.

Thanks- this would help obscure these folders if I don't need them.

The larger issue that I'm seeing is that I can't seem to have my containers share files within the same NFS share.

For instance, if I add a mount point for the same share to 2 different containers, each container cannot see any files the other container modifies or adds. It seems like a separate .raw file is created for each container. I have files already existing in the share that should be accessible by any container that has the share mounted. How can I accomplish that?
