hello

I'm trying to mount a NFS share (from openmediavault) into the cluster storage but I get a "timeout"

showmount (and web GUI ) are showing the shared folders when i put the server IP but I cannot mount it

I checked the port

nmap x.x.x.x (NFS server IP)
Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-05-28 10:32 CEST
Nmap scan report for pfsense01 (x.x.x.x)
Host is up (0.00034s latency).
Not shown: 988 closed ports

showmount -e "serverIP"
Export list for "serverIP" :
/export "serverIP",proxmox03,proxmox01,proxmox02
/export/NFS01 "serverIP",proxmox03,proxmox01,proxmox02

I checked tcpdump on both side, I see traffic when I try to mount ( no errors but no easy to interpret)

I also checked the rights

I do not know what to check more at this step to fix

any track ?

Thanks

smbclient -L //xxxx
protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_RESET

But smbclient is supposed to see NFS shares from the NAS ?

Hmmm, you already see share files rghit?

~ pvesh get /nodes/{node}/scan/nfs --server ServerIP

if so try to make the NFS as (everyone) and reconnect again please

pvesh get /nodes/proxmox01/scan/nfs --server xxxx

same for the 3 nodes (the private 3 IP of the 3 nodes are dispalyed)

but still timeout ...

On my server everything ok, i never have problem with NFS Sharing

Is the Firewall running? also check journalctl -f and grep the error message if exist to see what the problem is.

Hello

i found the issue. it was a network configuration on the NFS server side (running under vmware  )

Thanks for support it help me to investigate

(I don't know how to tag "RESOLVED" this thread)

I had a similar problem, I wanted to add a NFS Storage with 14 TB in a virtual Maschine. But it was not possible.

My Solution was, that I create a small Storage with eg 1 TB. than I have resize the Disk to the wished size.

Have a nice Day

Frank
