Hi,
I just installed Proxmox VE on my Intel NUC NUC7i7BNH. For the ip address I entered something similar to 192.168.1.201. Will this be a static ip address when the NUC is attached to my router? Do I have to do something with my router to make it a static ip address?
TIA

Hi,

Yes, if the IP is not taken from another device.

Do I have to do something with my router to make it a static ip address?
No. However, to make sure it remains static when connected to your router, you have to reserve that IP address for your NUC's MAC address in your router.

I just had the same question, because of not reserving the ip for my proxmox server another device got it and had many conflicts. be sure to make it static!
