I created a new user account in the GUI of PVE 8.3.0. After successfully creating it, I clicked the change password button, but the system told me that the user does not exist. I even tried in the shell command line, and the user account does exist, but I still cannot change the password. Thank you for your help

under what realm did you create the new user? I'm guessing PAM?
Anyway - adding a PAM user in the web UI basically only lets Proxmox VE knows that such a PAM user exists, but it does not create the user on the system. See also Authentication realms in our admin guide.
