I have a PC for proxmox, the specs are:
cpu: ryzen 7 5700g
MEM: 64gb ecc
Boot drive: 256gb nvme x2 raid 1
Video card: intel arc 380 for encoding
MoBo supports 8 drives
I plan to run VMs(windows and linux), pihole, pf sense and whatever firewall software i can find.
My question is, how much SSD/HDD space should i use. i have 2 barracuda 1TB hdds, a couple of old 256 ssd,1 1 tb ssd and 1 512gb ssd on hand.
Should I use the mix of drives I have or should i get 8 256/512 ssd's for storage? I have no idea how proxmox does virtualization when it comes to drive space, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. how about 8 1tb hdd's?
