New storage model for Openvz?

Wat are the plans for Openvz and the new storage model? Will that be on 1.4 or is planned for further releases?

AFAIK, the OpenVZ team has no plans to support something else than ext3 on local filesystem.

hmmm... Didn't know that...
I will digg into this some deeper to see what is possible. I would think that ext3 on top of drbd/iscsi/lvm should be possible even in that case.

The idea is to allow OpenVZ to use devices as root. For example "ROOT=/dev/mapper/vg0-lg10". When the CT starts, we need to mount that device (instead of the bind mount it currently does). Should be a small modification to vzctl.
