Looking recommendations for a first time proxmox user.

I have an hp proliant ML350 gen 10 and several scsi drives. I've been reading many forum post and watching setup videos. The seems to be a lot of differing opinions on drive types. The drives I have seem to be higher quality enterprise HP drives. I'm think of installing proxmox on a 200Gb scsi drive, then use a pair of 400Gb in RAID 0 for a windows server VM and any other VMs I might need. Lastly a Raid5 setup with maybe 3 scsi drives for storage. I'm hoping to use this in my business once up and running.

At the end of the day it just needs to be reliable. I've seen other posts about proxmox backup server. Would that run as it's own VM? I already have in place an offside backup on the current sever being replaced and plan to switch that over.

Overall goal is for this server to have up to 20 workstations attached in the future.

What other VM might I want to have in a small business environment?

Yes but not recommended. For any productive use I would get two dedicated server for PBS. One onsite (using SSD-only storage) and the other one offsite (HDD+SSD might be fine) and then sync both.

I've considered keeping the old server at home and turning into a homelab of sorts. Or maybe a media server and NAS. It never hurts to have another backup.
