We released a new kernel for Proxmox VE 3.1, including one important fix for doing CT backups to NFS in suspend mode. If you use this mode, check your backups and do restore tests. We also introduce a new OS type - Solaris.

A big Thank-you to our active community for all feedback, testing, bug reporting and patch submissions.

Release notes

this is a second
"New Kernel for Proxmox VE 3.1 and bug fixes"...
sticky thread

I noticed that too. The double up was the only reason I looked in the thread since the title is meaningless, so I tend to ignore it... New since when? Perhaps a date in the title so we know (thread started date is meaningless too if the thread is edited and last post is useless if the thread is not locked).

Hi,

Don't know if this is a related issue to the new kernel, but after upgrading my CTs on a shared NFS storage became useless...
I have a HA with 3 servers and one storage ZFS/NFS.
I was running CTs and VMs.
Now the VMs still ok and working fine in the storage.
But when I start any CT, it takes over 2 to 3 HOURS to come up.
When I enter the CT using "vzctl enter ID" just after starting it, I can see only 3 processes (main) loaded, then after 20 minutes I do "ps ax" again and can see one service more loaded, and one more after 20 min, so on...
Maybe there is a issue with ios limit or something like that?

Thanks!

EDIT:

Just one update, i did a top inside the CT and showed:

top - 18:12:10 up 57 min, 0 users, load average: 2.18, 2.65, 2.11
Tasks: 39 total, 1 running, 38 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 0.2%us, 0.1%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 4194304k total, 223652k used, 3970652k free, 0k buffers
Swap: 2097152k total, 0k used, 2097152k free, 98024k cached

probably posting this as normal thread would catch more attention...

what if you try to revert to previous kernel? (select older pve kernel at startup/grub)
