New installation on multipath hardware fails (Intel Modular Server with dual storage controller) when installing grub.
Installation was working for proxmox 2.1 but not in 2.3 and 3.0rc2 (after installation then you could enable multipath as descibed in the how-to section).

You could partially fix this also by letting installation procedure continue after grub-install command failure then grub can be installed from a rescue cd.

I change the controller affinity from SCM2 to SCM1 so that boot disk was sda (it was sdc when using disk controller SCM2) then selected sda as install disk and this fixed the issue.
I suppose proxmox installation procedure tries to install grub on sda also if you choose to install system on sdc.
