New Install PVE 8.3 on HP DL380 GEN 8

Hello Everyone.
Had a spare HP DL380 GEN 8, with 4 - 500G drives available. Made 1 logical drive with RAID0+1. All is well.
Downloaded PVE 8.3 and installed without issues.
Reboot.
Get the error, Disk lvm**** not found
GRUB RESCUE>.

Loaded live USB and added a 4M drive for tempgrub.
Reboot
Still the same.
Tried LVEXTEND as well. No such luck.
Downloaded supergrub, followed the directions to enable support, went to the manual boot, still failed.

from GRUB RESCUE, I have ls the drives, find HD0 and HD1, when I ls HD0, I get drive not found, same for HD1.

Tried downloading older version of PVE, same issue. I have removed the logical drive, formatted all the disks, went back up to 8.

I hope this is a simple fix that I am missing, I have 3 of these servers ready for Proxmox, but I can't get past this hurdle.

Hi all,

I have the same problem on this type of hardware :
I had an old 8.1 version ( update from 7.4 ) and no problem.
and I made upgrade to 8.3 and the server is KO.
I try to re install 8.3 from USB,
and have the same issue :
Get the error, Disk lvm**** not found
GRUB RESCUE>.

I try 8.2 and same problem.
-> I download and reinstall 7.4, and no problem.

If I try a Dist-upgrade, I have a kernel panic problem at next startup

I have no issue use usb to install pve 8.3 to my HPE DL20 Gen9 server. install 32G TF card on the inside of DL20 G9 server motherboard, PVE8 could install to it, and other 2x 3.5 HDD bay could install with P440 raid0 disk.
