Hallo,
ich bin absoluter Neuling was Proxmox angeht und beiße mir gerade an einem Problem die Zähne aus.
Mein System: Raspberrypi 5, Proxmox 8.2.4. Installiert habe ich einen Container debian-bookworm-20231124.arm64.tar.xz
Mein Problem: Ich bekomme im Container kein Netz.

Die Netzwerkeinstellungen sehen bei mir so aus:


Wenn ich der "HomebridgeVM" eine IP gebe, dann lässt diese sich nicht starten.

Es kommt zu einer Fehlermeldung:
run_buffer: 571 Script exited with status 1
lxc_init: 845 Failed to run lxc.hook.pre-start for container "103"
__lxc_start: 2034 Failed to initialize container "103"
TASK ERROR: startup for container '103' failed

Ich bin für jede Hilfe dankbar.

Nun Proxmox unterstützt kein Raspberrypi 5. Also was soll's werden?.
Evtl. mal mit einem X86 Barebone oder Mini-Computer probieren?

Selbst ein Intel Haswell System mit z.B. Intel® Core™ i7-4790K funktioniert in den Grenzen des Seins.

Oder gleicht auf die Intel Generation 12 - 12000 gehen.
Da gibt's als Einstig z.B. den 4 Kerner mit 8 Threads Intel Core-i3 12100 oder den 6 Kerner mit 12 Threads Intel Core-i5 12400.
Ja ohne das "F", um noch eine IGPU nutzen zu können.

Mehr Leistung als ein Ryzen 9 5900x hätte der Intel® Core™ i7-12700K.

Den Intel® Core™ i7-12700K gibt's gerade bei Alternate im Sale:

Kombiniert mit einem MSI B760 Board (MSI PRO B760-P DDR4 II) mit DDR4 Speicher wäre das auch relativ Preiswert:

Also das Projekt welches du nutzt heißt Pimox und ist ein unoffizieller Fork von Proxmox. Die Maintainer von Pimox geben sich mühe, aber hinken dem offiziellen Proxmox immer ein wenig hinterher. Das nur zur Info, damit du eine Awareness dafür entwickelst.

bei deinem ifconfig steht da mtu 65536 und ich weiß nicht wo das herkommt. Regulär ist eine MTU von 1500 und maximal 9000.
Eventuell hilft dir das zum weitersuchen.

Falk R. das ist das loopback interface lo (127.0.0.1/8) das hat eine MTU von 65536.

Dann mal testen ob der Container eine DHCP IP bezieht.

Problem gelöst. Der Container läuft super und die CPU langweilt sich.
Die Lösung habe ich hier gefunden: https://www.bachmann-lan.de/proxmox-8-auf-dem-raspberry-pi-4-installieren/
Container ohne IP hochgefahren und das Folgende ausgeführt.
root@HomebridgeVM:~# ip -c -br a
lo UNKNOWN 127.0.0.1/8 ::1/128
eth0@if9 DOWN
root@HomebridgeVM:~# dhclient
root@HomebridgeVM:~# ip -c -br a
lo UNKNOWN 127.0.0.1/8 ::1/128
eth0@if9 UP 192.168.2.102/24 192.168.2.138/24 metric 1024 fd00::be24:11ff:fefb:67e/64 fe80::be24:11ff:fefb:67e/64
Damit lässt sich jetzt arbeiten.
