Hi All

We have a new Hetzner box running Jessie and have followed instructions and have running Proxmox 4.4-20.

We currently have a few LXC's no issues and a Ubuntu 16.04 KVM all running fine. I have tried to install a fresh version of Debian 8.6.0 and can't seem to get any network access at all using the same options at setup as the Ubuntu box (VMBR0 bridges with VirtIO (paravirtualized nic)

I have /etc/network/interfaces the same as Ubuntu bar the last part of the ip which is in the same subnet as the Ubuntu box. Ifconfig often does not show eth0 and when I have managed to get it showing then does not show any ip details, after reboots ip link show displays as down and even when showing up the network fails to work.

Any advise would be good here as never had an issue with vm's before although this is usually on a Proxmox build by iso.

Thanks

Glenn

So just to test I have built an iso of proxmox at the office and Debian 8.6.0 works fine. I can only presume that there is something missing from a Debian build upgraded to Proxmox that's clearly there in a ISO build
