Network stall in Proxmox 1.6 with kernel 2.6.32
Hello!
I have installed Proxmox 1.6 with kernel 2.6.32 on Debian Lenny 64Bit.
Then i have created some VM´s and i have tested the Internet speed
by downloading a file with 1GB (http://speedtest.netcologne.de/test_1gb.bin):
In a OpenVZ container with guest Debian Lenny the speed is constant at 9-10MByte/sec.
In KVM the network speed is much slower: With the same file the transfer is starting
by 5MByte/sec, after downloading 20-25Mbytes of data the speed is going down!
I have tried various network adapters, VirtIO, Realtek, e1000 - but the problem is
still the same. It makes no difference if the KVM guest OS is Linux or Windows, my
opinion is that the problem is KVM or the new Linux kernel 2.6.32...?
