Hello,

After adding two nodes to my production cluster and entering the license keys
I updated all nodes with apt dist-upgrade
*******************************
root@ipmpve3:~# pveversion
pve-manager/5.4-7/fc10404a (running kernel: 4.15.18-16-pve)
*******************************
my problem is:
The two added nodes are not pinged on the network (192.168.38.x) but ping correctly the first two.
They also do not ping the debian strech NFS for Backup (192.168.46.60).
my /etc/hosts file:
*******************************
root@ipmpmpve3:~# cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.38.x ipmpve3.cl.fr ipmpve3

192.168.46.50 cluster-ipm1
192.168.46.51 cluster-ipm2
192.168.46.52 cluster-ipm3
192.168.46.53 cluster-ipm4
*******************************
I can access node 3 (38.105) but not node 4 (38.108)...?
I have nothing in iptables, are there any other commands or files to check?
Thank you for your answers,

kind regards

Hi,

Despite much research, nodes 3 and 4 still do not "ping" on the network "38.x" but corosync works on the network "46.x".
To add the 2 new nodes, I ran on them:
  • pvecm add cluster-ipm1 -ring0_addr cluster-ipm3
  • pvecm add cluster-ipm1 -ring0_addr cluster-ipm4
I also added my new NAS for backup (192.168.46.60) but it is not accessible by nodes 3 and 4... see screenshot
Should I try to remove nodes 3 and 4 and repeat the operation?
As attachments my hosts and corosync files

Thank you for your suggestions and answers,
kind regards

Why are the ip adresses here different from those in your hosts file and in the output of "ip addr"?
Additionally, your hosts file contains ipmpve4.fr but ipmpve2.cl.fr?

Hi,

I properly removed the two nodes from the cluster and made a Proxmox reinstall on it from scratch.

But my license keys are no longer valid...
Can you reset them ?

kind regards

Please contact your reseller for issues regarding your subscription.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.
Even if my licenses are still valid for 1 year ?
I got the error "Invalid: Invalid Server ID" when I reinstalled node 3 & 4 of my cluster with different ips and names.

kind regards

Yes. However, contacting your reseller does not necessarily mean spending money :)

If you, for example, bought your subscription from https://shop.maurer-it.com "contacting your reseller" is actually only clicking the reissue button in the web interface.
