Trying to run wsl on a win11 guest always throws
Code:
wsl: Nested virtualization is not supported on this machine.
proxmox itself is installed on an Epyc 7543 and bios nested virt is enabled (supermicro board), as confirmed :
Code:
cat /sys/module/kvm_amd/parameters/nested

Cpu passed as "host" to the vm, shows Virtualization: Enabled in task manager, I am able to install Hyper-V inside the host using the windows features on/off (whereas before setting cpu=host, it was grayed out) but wsl still throws that warning/error. Is this a bug ? a feature ?
I am confused.

Update - seems to be an AMD BUG, identical VPS configuration works flawlessly on a Xeon(R) Gold 5412U https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/n...-wsl-fails-bug-or-feature.165243/#post-765668

Works perfectly fine on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5412U system
Perhaps it's a qemu issue .
Proxmox team, is this supposed to be a proxmox issue or should i report to Qemu ?
Waiting for your advice
