Hello, I wanted to make a backup and found that my local storage is too small.
deleting local lvm and adding local storage will damage the VM running on ceph storage

Hi,

Only having a backup on your local machine is NOT recommended [1].
You might want to consider setting up a separate machine with Proxmox backup server...

If you ran out of usable space I don't see a solution apart from installing another drive and using that for backups.

If you really want to resize your local lvm and give more space to your local storage, you can do that from the cli [2] or with gparted. But that seems quite risky to me and I highly recommend making backups first (e.g. with an external drive)
