For learning purposes, I am trying to repurpose an old laptop to boot a Proxmox server. However! The main reason this laptop was decommissioned to begin with is the fact that its primary monitor is 100% completely unusable. You power it on and all you get is an unchanging art piece now.
On the current working Windows install, however, the HDMI port on the laptop DOES work. Because of the narrator accessibility function in the windows recovery screen, I have been able to get the proxmox installer to boot from USB as well.
Beyond that, though, I've gotten nothing but the installer beeping at me. Is there some way to get the installer to use other screens attached to the system? Should note that closing the lid did nothing for me. Not even the BIOS gets projected to the secondary screen.
Alternatively, is there a way to get the installer terminal working over SSH? I know it's possible to do fully unattended installation, but I want to know if it's possible to just have the installer terminal launch that way, maybe.... (using a SSH key if possible, but I'm on a trusted network so I can just go in unrestricted if need be).
Is there a way to do either of these, or should I open a feature request on proxmox's bugzilla?
