Hello all. I currently have Jellyfin media server running in a container and my media files are located remotely. I'm now in the process of installing a dedicated hard drive on the Proxmox box to be used as my media drive and would like some guidance....
Currently...
- Hard drive is installed and detected on my pve->Disks as /dev/sdc
- My media server has been set up and running with the remote media storage. Container name is CT101 for reference.
This is where I get stuck. I've followed tutorials that instructed how to partition, create a folder, mount, create a volume group, create LVM, add the storage to the datacenter etc etc etc. I was able to do all of this but I'm not sure if all this needs to be done if I'm going to dedicate the drive to a single container (CT101).
In CT101->Resources I have the option to add a mount point so I assume that something needs to be done here.
All so confusing for a Linux non-expert.
So, after hours of mucking about I wiped the hard drive and got myself back to a blank slate.
Any help would be appreciated.
