Naming convention Suspend vs. Hibernate

Dear all,

has anyone ever noticed that the context menu (right mouse button) on the VM shows "Hibernate" whereas the menu on the node uses the term "Suspend" (Bulk Suspend)?

After having received comments about me using "Suspend" (term known/used to from VMware) instead of "Hibernate" to express the same function, I was not conscious up until this point where that came from.

Now i know since I usually use the "Bulk suspend" function instead of "hibernating" each individual VM

Therefor I suggest to actually call the features either "Suspend/Bulk suspend" or "Hibernate/Bulk Hibernate".

Have I missed maybe an important detail?

Hi,
this is one of the minor inconsistencies in the GUI. On a physical machine this makes a difference but not in virtualized systems. Looking at the docs the terms are used interchangeably currently: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/qm.1.html#qm_hibernate

You could make an entry on bugzilla.proxmox.com and hope your suggestion gets discussed.
