Mysql Server will not restart

Critical!!! Please help.
We have a virtual setup with a mysql server and webserver using proxmox.
The server was restarted and now the mysql server will not start up. I see it in the list and when it tries, it just wont re-start.
Any ideas on even how to start to fix this?

I would appreciate any help what so ever.

I did check the logs and it ended up being that my VM 102 was locked due to a failed backup. I was able to unlock at command prompt, which allowed me to then start the VM.
