[SOLVED] My mail server need credentials for smart host

Hello!

My web hosting panel have function to use smart host server (like PMG) for outgoing email filtered and sent by PMG! But on the settings I need setup this:

Hostname:
Port:
Username:
Password:

For the hostname and the port it's basic settings I know perfectly because I use it for another mail server but for the username and password I have read PMG not use authentification but based on IP!

After discuss with the support of the webhosting panel we don't have any other possibility to override this so we need use credentials auth!

There is a way to use this with PMG? How to setup this?

You can active postfix smarthost with authentication base on this article:

You can make it work with PMG by custom main.cf file through PMG template:

Check your domain's spf record includes your hosting company's spf.

Thank you but finally I have just use the root / password of PMG and it was working.

Ah, I misunderstood your question. I (mis)read it as your trying to use the hosting company as smarthost for PMG.
