Must I install Postfix?

Hello all,

I am looking at the instructions for installing Proxmox on top of an already running Debian Stretch system.

The issue is the instruction to install Postfix and uninstall Exim. Is this necessary? I greatly prefer Exim and have no reason to change to another MTA. Can I continue using Exim instead of Postfix? Thanks!

Hi,

Proxmox uses sendmail for sending email notification.

We never test it with Exim.
