Moving Storage from one proxmox install to another

Hello and good morning,

I had a Proxmox install setup and running, I created a few VMs, but somehow over-provisioned the available storage, so I added a second SSD and put my VMs onto that. (Great thing too!)
A few nights ago, the OS SSD I guess, died. - Recovery boot found no usable installs
. I installed a new SSD and reinstalled Proxmox. How do I import that storage SSD with all my VMs? I think it's LVM, but not 100% sure. The server can see the drive, and depending on whether I am on the LVM or Thin LVM either shows 100% full or the actual usage.

I have searched Google, but my fu is weak and I am not using the correct keywords.

Recover from backups ?
Otherwise you're looking at scanning/detecting the previous storage, reconfiguring it manually and re-creating the VMs configurations.
All this will happen again if using a cheap (single ??) SSD for the OS.
