Hi
I have three PVE hosts on three separate sites (2 x v3.4 and 1 x v4.0 BETA1).
All have production VMs and openVZ containers (LXC) running on them. We are planning to relocate them all onto one site and build a 4 node cluster (adding a new host).
We have a relatively small window in which to perform this move (1 weekend) so I want to avoid if possible having to do a complete rebuild and restore from backups.
All VMs and containers are on different ranges of IDs (1xx, 2xx & 3xx).
I believe it is not recommended to join nodes to a cluster if the new nodes already have VMs configured however is it possible if the ID's do not clash?
If it is not possible to join an cluster with VMs on the new node, is it still OK to build the cluster on a node that already has VMs configured?
Thanks for any advice.
