Moving backup HDD to new machine

I am running PBS on the same physical machine that runs my -so far- only PVE node. The backup HDD (16TB) is also in this physical machine. PBS is installed directly using apt install.

I now wish to move the entire PBS to a new Proxmox node on another dedicated physical machine, to not have the backup in the same machine as my main PVE node. Both Proxmox machines are supposed to form a cluster.

I do not have a second 16TB HDD lying around, so I can't just use the new node as a sync node and just transfer everything from the main node. I have to move the one 16TB HDD to the new node.

- If I install PBS on the new node and just assign the 16TB HDD as data storage, will all content be automatically recognized?
- How to copy all configs to the new PBS?
- Can I just assign the new PBS to be the PBS for the whole system? Will all backup jobs seamlessly integrate?
- anything else I need to consider?
