Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to move an OpenVZ container from one local storage to another (on the same node or on another) without taking the VM offline?

This would be very cool given a hybrid setup with HDDs and SSDs. I could migrate IO heavy VMs onto the SSDs temporarily.

Any ideas?

The only way i know of so far is backup restore but that would take the VM offline - i did ask about this a while back but didnt get an answer - i'm going to bu adding a new SAN soon and the ability to live migrate storage would be brilliant.

this would be a great feature, right now I just rsync them between storage locations with the same options proxmox uses when you do live migrations and then I modify the containers conf file but this breaks the quotas....
