Hi,

I moved my VM installation from a ZFS pool to a dedicated raw disk passed through to the VM.

But there is still the EFI disk remaining on the ZFS pool. Can I move the EFI disk also to the raw disk somehow? (Proxmox web gui only offers the option to move it to local-lvm). But I would like to have the EFI disk close to my VM.

(Is a separate EFI disk even necessary when the VM is stores on its own dedicated raw disk?)

Thanks

You could create a small partition for it or just leave it on another storage. The EFI disk is needed to store the EFIVARS which contain the boot order. If you don't have one, a temporary one will be given to the VM on each start.
