monitoring Proxmox from Icinga

Hi all

I found this guide

But my Icinga is installed on a Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit openVZ vm..

My Icinga installation is up and running and installed from this guide:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/169033/how-to-install-icinga-on-ubuntu-12-04-monitor-remote-host

also icinga-web is up and running.

I will asume the proxmox guide still applies even though i used ubuntu as os.. but where in the guide should i start when I have my Icinga up and running?

Does the proxmox guide still apply to the newst version of Proxmox?
