First this is my first post.
I'm struggling to get proxmox running and installed on a gigabyte ddr3 motherboard with a fx8350 chip and 20GB of memory.
I burnt the 8.3 iso to a thumb drive and when booted proxmox keeops looking for an "iso" on the CD player to continue.
My question is, is my hardware suffient for pve to install ?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Maybe try a different and preferably older USB thumb drive. Lots of threads about this on the forum. Is mostly depends on the type of USB drive.

Thanks to both of you, for your replys. I unplugged power from the DVD drive and the installed failed with a bunch of other errors. So I re burnt a DVD-RW and tried installing, lo and behold all went as expected. Proxmox is up and running on my ddr3 system and I can access it from my daily Ryzen system. Now I need to move the Virtual box VMDK clients to proxmox and see how that goes.
Again thanks for your thought!!
