Migration VMs (Template used) to new Server

Hi,

I'm using some VMs with a base-vm (template). And now I have to migrate this VMs to a new Server, but I dunno how.

Backup would work for the VMs but then they not using the base anymore.


Is there a guid for this?

copy base-vm files + vm files to new server


scp -r /var/lib/vz/images/idofbasevm newserver:/var/lib/vz/images/

scp -r /var/lib/vz/images/idofvm newserver:/var/lib/vz/images/


(vm need to be offline of course)
