Hello,

Is it possible to perform a live migration of a virtual machine's storage disk to another storage device by using option "move"? I have 2TB of data to migrate and want to maintain data continuity.

Which option should I use when migrating data to another disk volume on?

If I migrate data using "move" to another storage, will I have up-to-date data, or will it be delayed?

Hi,
yes you can move a disk to another storage while the VM remains live. The move will initiate a mirroring of the disk, sending also deltas which might have been written in the meantime.

Why not use the live migration option? In that case, one of them is unnecessary.

live migration is available only with cluster.
