Hi I am very close to making the switch to proxmox from vmware. I think I have watched every migration video and just one questions.
In regards to adding ESX as storage. Don't I also have to add my iscsi san as well so proxmox has access to the vmware datastore or is that the adding esx part?
The challenge I have is that i am about 60% utilization on my san and I don't have enough room to create a NEW proxmox datastore on my san and then migrate everything to a new proxmox storage on the same SAN.
Am in understanding this correct that proxmox using the importer tool converts the VM and keeps it in the same vmware datastore but accessed by proxmox? What happens after the esx host goes away is there another step i have to do by moving the disk?
Thank you for your help.
