Hi, i am new to linux in general and proxmox in particular.
I am currently testing version 8.2.2 on a dedicated server.
Basic installation and configuration is done and working. Already have some windows and Ubuntu VMs running.

Now i tried to migrate a Ubuntu VM from hyper-v. I followed a guide explaining how to convert and import the hardisk and add it to a an emty VM. That part worked. However, when i connect to the VM (using default settins) i only can not navigate by keyboard. Mouse pointer is shown but does not move.

I don't have that problem with any other (created) VM. I allready tested in different browsers but that did not help.
Can anyone point me in the right direction how to troubleshoot this ? Or maybe has a solution even ?

Hi, I encountered the same problem a few days ago and searched online for a long time but couldn't find a solution. Have you ever tried professional virtual machine migration solution? I'm considering this approach......

Hi, no i never considered that since i am still experimenting with proxmox and migration. And as far as i know most demo versions just would not let you do the last step (which is exactly what i would need to see if it solves my issue).
If you have any suggestion as to which solution to test, please let me know.

Hi, I tried this method: https://www.vinchin.com/vm-migration/hyper-v-to-proxmox.html, as well, I tried its solution to migrate several virtual machines from Hyper-V to Proxmox, the effect is not bad.
