Greetings,
We are running PMG 8.1.5 and we see a message in the Tracking Center as quarantined but cannot find it in
the Spam Quarantine.
When we check the logs from the tracking center, we can find the message in the spam folder.
Any idea what could be going on?

Greetings,

The message is not in the Virus Quarantine and the copy I found on the server is just a text message, no attachments.

Here is what I see in the Tracking Center, and I have redacted it but highlighted the message ID:

And when I check from the console, the file is there:
Code:
# /var/spool/pmg/cluster/2/spam # find . -name 1C4045D6760B21B32792
./92/1C4045D6760B21B32792

pmgsh get /quarantine/spam does not display this message in its list.

So we are unable to Deliver this false positive to the user either from the GUI nor with pmgsh.

Thanks.

Check the journal since the mail was received - maybe it got delivered/deleted from the quarantine before you checked...?
when you deliver/delete a mail it remains on the filesystem but is not listed anymore in the quarantine view (until the end of the quarantine lifetime when it gets deleted)

Right, that's clear, thanks for the explanations.

Just verified the logs and it turns out that the message was indeed delivered by someone else in the team, so this was a problem with internal communications and nothing more.

Have a good weekend.

Best regards,
Franz
