maximum number users?

Hi,

I am trying to add about 2500 users (looping over a text file and executing pveum each time ) and at some point pveum reports that user.cfg is too large. Is there any specific size limitation or max number of users that I have to consider?

Maximum file size is 128KB. I wonder why you want to add 2500 users?

I want to expand proxmox use to the end user community as a self service platform . To really facilitate self service we need to pre create all users. I have a total of 8000 users from about 200 departments and I already narrowed it down to 2500 users in 100 departments. I am creating groups and pools for each department. I guess I need to do some addional filtering unless there is an alternative approach.
