Maximum cores per vm

Hi guys, I'm new to proxmox and I would like to see if you guys could clear up a question... We are migrating to proxmox and our machine is exclusively for firebird database and it has 24 cores and when I try to put in proxmox the same amount of cores when i enter the vm only appears 11 and we have resources for it to have 24 cores.
Could you tell me if the maximum cores per vm is 11? or something like that?

No, if there is a limit, it is higher than 24 vCPUs, so that shouldn't be the problem.

I understand, it's because it's weird when I put the 24 on the machine only 11 appears

Is lscpu | egrep 'CPU\(s\)' inside the VM also returning that you only got 11 cpu cores? Maybe htop is just not showing graphs for all cores.

Edit:
Your screenshot looks like you are using a LXC and not a VM. Is it a VM or a LXC? Htop and so on run inside a LXC will always show the hosts complete ressources and not the ressources assigned to that LXC.

I've tried my 8 core , 16 threads and get all 16 Virtual cores in windows.
