Hi,

i think to use proxmox ve with some nodes to create a cloud,

i will create a vm on it and install mail service on it,

i want to ask if there is any max size for the vm ?

thank you.

Hi,

no there is no fix maximum of VM's.
The Proxmox VE limits are 32 nodes in one cluster.
And the pmxcfs what contains the configs are not allowed to be bigger than 30MB.

This 30 MB is enough for several tausend configs.

Hi,

may i ask another related question,
they may be related.

if i have 3 nodes(ex: each node has 4TB space),
as i know,
one vm's computing can only get the resource from certain node(include cpu and ram).

but how about the storage part?
will each data be write into the 3 nodes and max storage is 4TB? or ?

thank you again.

This depends on the storage technology.

When you use ceph then this could be the case.
