Hi
I was trying to setup a VPN server on a VM and got this message during configuration ....
<<<Some VMs prohibit the Promiscuous mode (MAC Address Spoofing) on the network adapters by default.
If Promiscuous mode is administratively disabled, the local bridge function between
a Virtual Hub on the VPN Server and a physical network adapter on the physical computer doesn not
work well. You should allow the Promiscuous Mode by using the configuration tool of the Vm>>>
....which made me wondering how I could enable or disable and on what level the Promiscuous mode for the VM (probably meant for
the virtual bridge upon which the VM is based on for network access??).
PS I have noticed in syslog many times the circle message of vmbr[0.1.2.3..or whatever] entered promiscuous mode -> left promiscuous mode ... etc
