If you are using MacOS, then the documented installation procedure for creating the installation media (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Prepare_Installation_Media) relies on command line tools.

MacOS users can also use Balena Etcher similar to users on Windows to write the files to the USB stick via a GUI. It obviously requires a third-party tool but I think it's a good idea to add that as an alternative as it's more user-friendly.
It works fine as I've been using this to install Proxmox 6.2 a few times.

(Not sure if this is the right way to raise this change to wiki)

Get a wiki account and change it yourself - hence the name "wiki" :-D

I only found the option to login with an existing user and not to create a wiki user. But since you are more familiar with it, feel free to make the suggested edit.

Just tried it, does not work, so I will not add it.
I just started an account on here to say thanks for sharing that. The docs do need to be updated. I was trying to do this in iTerm2 and it failed numerous times. I ran it from actual terminal (I already have command line tools installed) and it ran just fine.
