MAC Address Not Imported with OVF Import Feature

I used the OVF import feature that was added in version 8.3.
The OVF template includes the following MAC address entry:

      <Item>
        <rasd:Address>00:0c:29:a9:b7:9b</rasd:Address>
      </Item>

However, during the import process, the MAC address is set to "Auto."


How can I import the MAC address along with the OVF template?

When it doesn't work at import you can change the MAC after import in the /etc/pve/qemu-server/<vmid>.conf file and then start vm.

If you choose the Unique MAC addresses checkbox (in you above image) what does it then show under the MAC address column?

Even if I select the `Unique MAC addresses` checkbox, the `MAC address` column remains set to "Auto."

The ESXi import feature for the "Storage Type" also has a `Unique MAC addresses` checkbox. With this feature, the `MAC address` column is changed from a fixed value to "Auto."
Therefore, I understand the `Unique MAC addresses` checkbox to be a setting that changes the MAC address from the original source to "Auto."
