I have a PVE running that i monitor using InfluxDB and Grafana. What I am missing is a quick glance to the current host info, including CPU temp (cannot find that within InfluxDB export). My idea now was to install a lightweight monitoring tool like "glances". It also features InfluxDB export and has a nice integration into my homepage dashboard.
I really do not want to install it directly on the host next to PVE. My idea was to spin a privileged LXC up that hosts glances and provides me with metrics. Unfortunately, that seems hard (and I of course understand why).
What would you guys do in that situation?
