hello

i'm new to proxmox... i set it up on a quad-core hp server with 2 hardware raid (72 gb scsi and 146 gb scsi).

with lvm i managed to extend the volume group pve to 204 gb extending especially the logical volume data to from 42 to 183 gb

lvm> lvs
LV VG Attr LSize Origin Snap% Move Log Copy% Convert
data pve -wi-ao 183.52G
root pve -wi-ao 17.00G
swap pve -wi-ao 4.00G

but the proxmox homescreen still shows me only 42 gb!?

Festplattenplatz data (42.16GB/663MB)

somewhere in this forum i read a sidenote saying something like it's not possible to add another hdd and extend this partition? so i can only use one of these raid's with proxmox? or i did something wrong? or what lvm tells me is true and i can safely ignore the proxmox homescreen?

clarification is much appreciated!

thanks for your suggestion. but no - still the same. i also restarted the proxmox server - homescreen still shows 42 gb.

Well, there is a filesystem on dev/pve/data - you also need to expand that. (umount, resize2fs, mount)
