[SOLVED] Lots of audit messages in dmesg post upgrade to PVE 9

Hi there,

I followed the upgrade documentation to move one of my PVE 8 hyper-converged cluster nodes to PVE 9. After battling with APT and running into some issues with extra if-up.d scripts, I managed to get through the upgrade.

How can I get rid of these messages? Why are they happening?

This is a known issue after upgrade due changes made to systemd defaults. As shown in this section of the upgrade process, audit logging is disabled by default in Bookworm, and in Trixie this audit log is enabled.

What a muppet! I did disable this service... But I did not reboot :facepalm:
