Luckily my Proxmox server is on site. I have not found a thread relating to losing SSH. I found a thread concerning losing WebUI, but not ssh. I can't even ping,, Proxmox. Which leads me to believe it is my network. Proxmox has a static IP of 192.168.0.4, the rest of the network is 192.168.0.100-200. The gateway is 192.168.0.3. I even have a switch at 192.168.0.5. All pingable except the PM server? I'd just hate to bring down the running VMs because of this. Even changing the IP address, I can only ping the gateway.
Reboot
After changing my static ip in /etc/network/interfaces, which still does not change the IP Proxmox shows upon boot, I noticed NFS errors. I think this all started to happen after I added and removed a second node. Anyhow, I removed portmap, which removed nfs-common and pve-manager. I removed the latest kernel -14. I reinstalled portmap, nfs-common. The NFS errors went away. I'm able to get back into the GUI, and SSH. But pve-manager will not finish installing.
Errors were encountered while processing:
pve-manager
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:
Setting up pve-manager (2.1-14) ...
insserv: Service vz has to be enabled to start service pve-manager
insserv: exiting now!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header
dpkg: error processing pve-manager (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
pve-manager
Now I'm stuck.
